What is Fornix Interviews?

Fornix Interviews is an AI-powered job interview practice platform developed by Fornix. It helps you learn to present your experience, practise answering questions and use feedback to improve, with the goal of moving from interview preparation towards a job. Practise for the role you want, wherever you are. It is a learning tool, not a recruiter or an employer's hiring assessment, and it cannot guarantee a job offer.

Can I use Fornix Interviews outside Norway and Scandinavia?

Yes. Fornix Interviews is designed for interview preparation worldwide, not only for Norway, Scandinavia or Europe. You can practise for different roles, industries and career goals using a supported interview language and the requirements of the job you want. Our Scandinavian guidance is an additional resource, not a geographical restriction. Adapt your preparation to the employer, local expectations and the interview language.

Who develops Fornix Interviews?

Fornix Interviews is developed by Fornix, a company based in Norway. Fornix creates training experiences that help people practise, learn and build confidence at their own pace, including preparation for working life. The Fornix company website describes its wider work and VR training offerings. Fornix Interviews brings interview preparation to the browser and does not require a VR headset.

Can I practise for a job from FINN, Arbeidsplassen or LinkedIn?

Yes. When signed in, you can paste a public job-advertisement link into the job-link importer to try to load the role title and description for your interview preparation. FINN links and numeric FINN job codes are accepted, and Arbeidsplassen (NAV) has a dedicated parser. You can also try public LinkedIn job links and other employer or job-board URLs. Import depends on whether the page is accessible and its job details can be extracted; sign-in walls, site blocking or removed listings can prevent it. If import fails, paste the job description manually and review the details before practising. These links do not imply a partnership with the job boards.

Do I need a VR headset to practise an interview?

No VR headset is needed for the web interview experience. Use a compatible browser and a microphone, allow microphone access when prompted, and check your audio before starting. Headphones and a quiet room can help with speech recognition.

How should I use AI interview feedback?

Use feedback as a starting point for reflection: check whether your answer addresses the question, gives a concrete example and explains your own contribution. AI can misunderstand speech or context, so review suggestions critically. Feedback is not a validated hiring score and cannot guarantee a job offer.

Where can I find prices and subscription details?

The subscription page shows the available plans and current prices. Check the currency, billing period and checkout total before subscribing. Plan availability and included usage can change, so use that page for up-to-date details.

Preparation tools, from career direction to interview

What can I practise with the different interview modes?

Practise job interviews with AI interviewers across roles and personalities, prepare a custom interview from a role description, or import an actual job advertisement. You can rehearse explaining your experience aloud and review feedback afterwards. The aim is to make preparation relevant to the work you want, not just memorise generic answers.

Can I practise for an apprenticeship?

Yes. Turn on apprenticeship mode beside the mode heading in Launchpad for a preset interview, a custom role description or an imported job listing. You meet a consistent, calm vocational mentor. Questions focus on motivation, learning, reliability, teamwork and safe decisions under supervision. Examples from school, placements, projects and everyday responsibilities count; paid work experience is not required. Feedback uses an apprentice learning baseline rather than qualified-worker expectations. A1-C2 labels describe the evidence in that apprenticeship interview, not professional qualifications or a score directly comparable with standard interviews.

Can Fornix Interviews help with my CV and cover letter?

Yes. CV Coach and Cover Letter Coach help you create and improve a curriculum vitae (CV) and a cover letter for the role you want. Use AI assistance to clarify your experience, strengthen the structure and tailor the content to a job description. Review every suggestion, keep your claims accurate and make sure the final documents sound like you. No template or AI-generated wording can guarantee that you pass an applicant tracking system or get an interview.

How does Career Profile help me explore career paths?

Career Profile explores your work style and interests, then provides a DISK-inspired profile and career directions to explore. The assessment and public guide to all 13 profile types are available in English, Norwegian and Spanish. You can read about any type without an account or taking the assessment. Answers are processed in your browser, not by an AI service. Two locally generated PNGs show your character, scores and highlights, with an editable caption for sharing. Social app buttons attempt to share both images and your caption immediately, without creating a link. On supported devices you choose the app in the system share menu; the receiving app decides which attachments and text it accepts. Where file sharing is unavailable, you can download the images, copy your caption and open the app to attach them yourself. Separately, signed-in users can create a detailed result link lasting 15, 30 or 45 minutes, or 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours. Anyone with that link can view or print the report without an account and follow links to the profile-type guide. Creating a link stores only aggregate work-style and interest scores on Fornix as a deliberately shared, non-vault-encrypted copy; names and individual answers are excluded. Access ends at expiry or owner revocation. Expired stored data is removed through background cleanup; screenshots, PNGs and PDFs already saved by recipients cannot be recalled. Treat the profile as a starting point for reflection, not a diagnosis or a definitive career recommendation.

What is the SRS Question Quizzer?

Question Quizzer uses a spaced repetition system (SRS) to bring interview questions back for review over time. Repeated practice can make familiar questions easier to recognise and help you form answers more naturally. Reflect on your own examples instead of memorising a perfect script. The goal is familiarity and recall that you can adapt to the real conversation, not a promise that every interview will follow the same questions.

Encryption and privacy

What does zero-knowledge encryption mean in Fornix Interviews?

For registered accounts, protected saved content is encrypted in your browser using your vault key before it is sent for storage. Fornix's storage servers do not receive that key and cannot decrypt those protected fields. This covers content such as saved interview transcripts, written feedback, custom role descriptions, saved job details, personal quiz content and CV/cover-letter workspace content. Encryption at rest alone is not zero knowledge: when a service holds the decryption keys, it retains the technical ability to decrypt, even if access is strictly limited. Access controls restrict who may decrypt; they do not remove that ability. Fornix's client-held-key model removes that ability from the storage service for these protected fields, rather than relying only on restricted access. This distinction applies to protected storage, not every field or processing step.

How is my information protected during cloud AI processing?

When you request cloud AI, speech or avatar features, the relevant text or audio is processed by the service and selected providers to deliver that feature; they do not receive your vault key. Our provider agreements require zero data retention and prohibit using this content to train models. These processing protections complement encrypted storage. Account, billing and operational metadata needed to run the service is not all vault-encrypted. Career Profile assessment answers stay in the browser, with encrypted tab storage for registered users. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and your rights.

Do AI providers retain my content or use it to train models?

Our agreements with the service providers processing this content require zero data retention and no use of the content for model training. Under these agreements, providers may process the content to fulfil your request, but must not retain it after processing or use it to train models. Sending content for a requested AI response is therefore not permission to keep it or turn it into training data. These are contractual obligations for provider processing; they complement the separate cryptographic protection of your saved vault content.

How do I keep access to my encrypted content on another device?

Use the vault's trusted-device approval or configured recovery method to unlock your content on another device. Keep recovery material private and somewhere you can retrieve it safely. Signing in to your account is not the same as unlocking the vault. Fornix cannot read back a lost vault key from stored content; losing all available unlock and recovery methods can mean losing access to that content. Zero-knowledge storage also does not protect information from someone who controls your unlocked device.

Fornix Interviews brings that approach to job preparation: a familiar setting, opportunities to try again and feedback that helps you reflect and improve.

Why do the interview settings resemble familiar online meeting tools?

Preparation includes the setting as well as the questions. Our interview layouts use familiar online-meeting patterns so you can rehearse speaking, using meeting controls and handling the feel of an interview before the real event. This draws on Fornix's experience with repeated, gradual exposure in VR training. These are independent practice simulations by Fornix, not the original meeting services, and no affiliation or endorsement by their owners is claimed. The goal is to make the setting more predictable so you can focus on the conversation and presenting your experience.

Job interviews in Norway and Scandinavia

Can I practise a job interview in Norwegian?

Yes. Choose Norwegian as your interview language to rehearse answering aloud. Practise introducing yourself, explaining why you want the role and describing relevant experience. Norwegian interview practice is not a language exam or a certification of your proficiency.

How can I prepare for a job interview in Norway?

Start with the job advertisement: identify the required skills and prepare examples that show how you have used them. Research the employer, rehearse a concise introduction and be ready to explain your motivation. Practise answers to questions such as 'Why do you want this job?' and 'How have you handled a difficult situation at work?' Prepare your own questions about the role and team. Expectations vary between employers and industries.

Should I prepare in Norwegian or English for a job in Norway?

Follow the language requirements in the job advertisement and the interview invitation. Some workplaces use English; others require Norwegian for daily work or contact with customers and patients. Ask the recruiter if the interview language is unclear. Rehearsing in both languages can help when a role uses both.

Can I use Fornix Interviews to prepare for jobs in Sweden and Denmark?

You can use mock interviews to rehearse for roles across Scandinavia, including Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Swedish and Danish are included in the interview language selector. Base your preparation on the actual job description and the employer's language requirements, rather than assuming all Scandinavian workplaces interview in the same way.

What is the STAR method for answering interview questions?

STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action and Result. Briefly describe the context, explain your responsibility, describe what you did and share the outcome. It can help structure answers about teamwork, problem-solving or conflict. Use real examples and avoid memorising a script so rigidly that you stop answering the question.

Europe, privacy and practical questions

How can I prepare for a job interview in another EU or EEA country?

Check the role's language requirements, research the employer and prepare examples relevant to the advertised responsibilities. Recognition of qualifications and the right to work are separate from interview preparation. Norway is part of the EEA, but not the EU. For cross-border work information, consult EURES and the official authorities in the destination country. Fornix Interviews does not provide immigration or legal advice.

Can I practise if I am a student, a recent graduate or changing careers?

Yes. Prepare examples from studies, projects, volunteering or previous work that demonstrate skills relevant to the new role. Explain what you learned and how it transfers to the job. A mock interview can help you practise those explanations before speaking with an employer.

Where is Fornix based, and which privacy rules apply?

Fornix is based in Norway and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), implemented in Norwegian law through the EEA framework. Privacy is part of how we build and operate Fornix Interviews, including browser-side encryption of protected content and provider agreements for zero data retention and no model training on request content.
